Compulife Life Insurance Quoter Review

Whether you’re just starting a life insurance site, or already have a site that’s getting some steady traffic,
Your traffic is worthless without a lead capture tool.
You’ve got to be able to offer your visitors something compelling in exchange for their contact info.
On all my sites, I do that by providing my visitors free life insurance quotes.
In order to see those quotes, they must provide their:
- and Phone Number
And the lowest cost, best tool I’ve found for the job is Compulife’s Website Quoter.
We think their standard quote forms are too plain, so we’ve spruced them up a bit… and you can too.
Simply place the quoter on your site in a prominent location (I prefer the right hand sidebar, if you have one), and you’ve now changed your site from a consumer information resource into a lead generation machine.
For example, I use the Compulife form on my site www.HighRiskLifeInsuranceAgency.com, which looks like this:
Now let’s have a look at my Google analytics traffic to highrisklifeinsuranceagency.com over the past 12 months. You’ll see I’ve gotten 3,548 unique visitors.
Of the 3,548 unique visitors, 250 filled out the Compulife quote form. (Here’s a quick screen capture I shot of me grabbing that report from VAMdB)
… and now I get anywhere from 700 to 1000 leads per month on my 4 sites, which all use or have used some variation of Compulife’s form.
You’ve Got Mail!
Once your visitors fill out the form, you get an email from firstname.lastname@example.org notifying you of an “Initial Quote Request”, which looks like this:
When you open the email, you’ll get all the pertinent info to be able to call that lead and make a sale, such as their:
- Name, Phone, Email
- Tobacco Use
- Amount of Coverage they were Searching for
- and the Term Length they Searched for

Did you see that? When you’re able to give specifics about the amount of coverage and term length they searched for, you sound a lot less like a telemarketer, and more like a friendly agent seeing if you can help answer any questions.
Another line I like to use if I get any pushback is:
I noticed you had classified yourself at Preferred Plus/Standard, and I just wanted to ask you a few questions to be sure you could qualify for that rate.
Gets ’em every time. As my 5 year old says… “easy peasy lemon squeezy.”

- Compulife’s basic quoting software – This is a cool program that allows you to run quotes on your desktop. You must be a subscriber to this basic software to add the quoter. $199 per year
- Website Quotes – We also need to add this to get quotes on our site. $99 per year
So total you’re looking at $298 per year. If Compulife helps you sell one policy every 3 years, it will pay for itself. Yeah, it’s that big of a no brainer! 🙂

Compulife requires that you download their desktop software first (using the 30 day trial) and take 5 minutes to run a few quotes. Once you send them proof of that, they’ll send you a link to this page, where you can sign up for the full 4 months free.
