Compulife Life Insurance Quoter Review

Compulife Life Insurance Review

(*Update: I’m no longer using Compulife – I now use Ninja Quoter.  The forms are much nicer and easier to build/add to your site.  Check out my review of Ninja Quoter here.)

You’ve thought of adding a life insurance quote form on your site, but don’t know where to start.

“How much does a website quoter cost?”

… and “How in the heck do you get the quote form on your site?”

In this post, I’ll teach you the simplest, quickest way to add insurance quotes to your site using Compulife’s website quoter, AND how to make a ton of money in the process.

Bonus: Download a Free Guide that will teach you how to upgrade any Compulife form into a beautiful, eye-popping, lead generating machine.

Quick Article Guide:

Why You’re Insane Not to Offer Life Insurance Quotes on your Site

Whether you’re just starting a life insurance site, or  already have a site that’s getting some steady traffic,

Guess what…

Your traffic is worthless without a lead capture tool.

Compulife quote form - life insurance quote engine

Compulife quote form in action at www.InsuretheQueen.com.

You’ve got to be able to offer your visitors something compelling in exchange for their contact info.

On all my sites, I do that by providing my visitors free life insurance quotes.

In order to see those quotes, they must provide their:

  • Name
  • Email
  • and Phone Number

And the lowest cost, best tool I’ve found for the job is Compulife’s Website Quoter.

We think their standard quote forms are too plain, so we’ve spruced them up a bit… and you can too.

How the Compulife Website Quoter Generates Leads

Simply place the quoter on your site in a prominent location (I prefer the right hand sidebar, if you have one), and you’ve now changed your site from a consumer information resource into a lead generation machine.

For example, I use the Compulife form on my site www.HighRiskLifeInsuranceAgency.com, which looks like this:

compulife_on_high_risk_life_insurance_agency

Now let’s have a look at my Google analytics traffic to highrisklifeinsuranceagency.com over the past 12 months.  You’ll see I’ve gotten 3,548 unique visitors.

Visitors_to_Highrisklifeinsuranceagency.com_last_12_months

Of the 3,548 unique visitors, 250 filled out the Compulife quote form.  (Here’s a quick screen capture I shot of me grabbing that report from VAMdB)

… and now I get anywhere from 700 to 1000 leads per month on my 4 sites, which all use or have used some variation of Compulife’s form.

You’ve Got Mail!

Once your visitors fill out the form, you get an email from noreply@compulife.com notifying you of an “Initial Quote Request”, which looks like this:

Compulife Quote Request Notification Email

When you open the email, you’ll get all the pertinent info to be able to call that lead and make a sale, such as their:

  • Name, Phone, Email
  • DOB
  • Gender
  • Tobacco Use
  • Amount of Coverage they were Searching for
  • and the Term Length they Searched for

It looks like this when you open up the email:

Compulife Quote Request Details

That’s 250 New Leads thanks to Compulife

You might be thinking, “Well, should you really be calling that person?  All they were doing was looking at quotes.”

To that I say:

online growth and leads helpDoes anyone go onto a car lot with no intention of buying a car?

Learned that one from Nic West at Pinney. 🙂

Trust me.  They’re interested, and need your help.  I’ve called thousands of these over the years, and no one ever complains that they “weren’t expecting a call.”

They’re real leads, and we’ve closed thousands of them.

In summary, that’s 250 new leads for my agents to call from a measly 3548 visits, which is a 7% conversion!

… and now for the fun part.  Here’s how easy it is to sell insurance to your Compulife leads:

Simple Introductory Sales Script

You can now pick up the phone and say:

Hello Mr. Smith,

This is Chris Huntley with Huntley Wealth Insurance.  I saw you had just signed up for some life insurance quotes at my site… looks like you were looking at $500K of coverage for 20 years.  Can I help answer any questions for you?

Did you see that?  When you’re able to give specifics about the amount of coverage and term length they searched for, you sound a lot less like a telemarketer, and more like a friendly agent seeing if you can help answer any questions.

Another line I like to use if I get any pushback is:

I noticed you had classified yourself at Preferred Plus/Standard, and I just wanted to ask you a few questions to be sure you could qualify for that rate.

Gets ’em every time.  As my 5 year old says… “easy peasy lemon squeezy.”

3 Reasons to Use Compulife’s Website Quoter on Your Site

  1. It converts traffic into leads
  2. Compulife offers a FREE 4 month trial subscription
  3. It’s never been easier to add Compulife to your site, because if you keep reading, I’ve created an extensive “how to” guide on buying Compulife, getting 4 months free, and adding it to your site

PLUS, I’ve arranged for 2 special bonuses if you end up buying Compulife through my link… so stick with me to the end for that.

How Much Does it Cost?  How to Buy Compulife?

You need two things from Compulife to get quotes on your site:

  • Compulife’s basic quoting software – This is a cool program that allows you to run quotes on your desktop.  You must be a subscriber to this basic software to add the quoter.  $199 per year
  • Website Quotes – We also need to add this to get quotes on our site.  $99 per year

So total you’re looking at $298 per year.  If Compulife helps you sell one policy every 3 years, it will pay for itself.  Yeah, it’s that big of a no brainer! 🙂

Adding Compulife to Your Website

  • Comfortable Making Changes to your Site?  Great!  Watch the video below for instructions.
  • Not the do-it-yourself type? – No problem.  I’ve arranged for my web designer/coder, JK Allen, to add the form for you for $35.

If you’ve purchased CL through my site, I’ve already sent JK an email letting him know to give you that special deal  (Regular Price is $75) and he will contact you after your purchase.  Or you can call him at 720-336-0065 or contact him through his site: www.growtheffect.com.

Here are a couple things I mentioned in the video:

1. I refer to an iframe.  Here it is if you couldn’t see it:

<iframe src=”http://www.YourSite.com/quote.html” width=”390″ height=”400″ frameborder=”0″></></iframe>

2.  If you want to add text, like a link next to the face values with How much should I buy, find the face values on the quote.html file and stick the following code between </select> and </td>

<a href=”http://www.yoursitename.com/how-much-life-insurance-do-I-need” target=”_top”><b><span style=”color: blue;” color=”blue”>How Much Do I Need?</span></b></a>

…of course you can change the color or add italics or whatever

3. If you want to add Name, Phone # and Email fields, download this free guide.

Working your Compulife Leads

You can work your leads straight from your email, or what I do, since I’m set up with VAMdM, the best insurance agency CRM around, is have the leads emailed straight from Compulife into my VAMdB email, which Michael at VAMdB can set up for you.

Yes, I believe Compulife has a Canandian version. Visit their homepage: compulife.net

How do we know that the compulife tool isn’t data mining out clients info that we put in, then selling them off as leads? This data mining era is driving me crazy.

    Hey Terrie,
I can assure you that isn’t done. I’ve had thousands of quotes run through CL over the years (often times prospects tell me I was the only site they submitted a quote to) and I’ve never had a problem with another agent calling them.

Nice work Chris; good information and nice amount of leads. I have looked into similar programs for quoting and they were much more expensive….$500/month. At $300/year, it’s a no brainer. When I sign up, I will absolutely do it through your site – I just want to check it out and be sure I am comfortable with the tool and companies listed.

Do you share any information on how to generate traffic to your websites?

    Hey Aaron,
Thanks for the comment. Yeah, it’s a great deal.

If you sign up for my newsletter, there are some traffic tips in there. I’ll be adding more about this in the near future on ELT. Stay tuned.

I am trying to find a way to customize the quote tool to show on my website already selected for the State of Virginia that I am licensed in without the client having to update the drop down. Is there a way to update this?

Hey Chris I really like your website, you really go indepth on web design, seo etc. I’m thinking of having a website built but before I go ahead I was wondering if you think I could generate leads for either final expense life or medicare supplements with a website or should I go with a life insurance niche (high risk or ?) Thanks for your help.
